The legitimate extermination of the subhuman thug, St. Trayvon of the Skittles (SBUH), saved a large, indeterminate number of innocent lives. George Zimmerman deserves a medal.
My sincerest consolidations on your Tragic Boating Accident. I, too, suffered one and know the terrible sense of loss.
Never said...how they got lost.
My commercial security system is cheaper than feeding a dog and it doesn’t piddle on the rug.
Turned out to be a woman who apparently had the wrong house...
+++++++
Yeah, that’s what they always say when they see a gun in your hand. ;)
You'd piddle on my porch if I opened the door with lambchop and chucko greeting you...You'd be the new doggy toy if they wanted.
You're being swindled by cons with contracts...
Can your A-D-Doo alarm alert you to someone walking at 3 a.m. 200+ feet prior to the reaching the property line while you're snoozing? No it can't.
Can your acme alarm smell and alert you to a wild fire 2 miles away at 230 a.m.? No it won't.
Can your acme alarm sense danger or bad intentions before you'd ever see it or sense it? No it can't.
Can your acme alarm run into the dark on it's own and pin some spook, you never saw or heard, hiding on your property while alerting you? No it can't.
Dogs are an absolute must for home security. It's why special forces, military and cops etc., use them.
BTW, my dogs are many times more trustworthy than your neighbors and your own friends and are probably are better behaved with better manners. I know this because I know people well.
Ya they drink filtered water, salmon table scraps and home made oven baked milk bones...Best friends ever. Worth every single penny too.
There is no better sensors or security for the home other than staying awake all night with a riot gun strapped to your back in addition to perimeter LPs.
Good luck with your acme alarm Tex.
My friend Tex had porch screened with wire mesh of a pretty good gauge.
There was a doorbell to the security door to the screened porch. If you wanted in, you rang the doorbell to the porch, and Tex could see you from his house 15 feet away. If he wanted to, he could let you in; if he did not want to, you were 15 feet away, and could not be sure exactly where he was. A solid wall prevented easy access to the rest of the house’ egress points.
So he had a “standoff barrier”. the same can be done with a good fence and and a bell at the gate.
(I can't see who's at my door before I open it.)
Gunny ping!
Can your dogs call you when you are away?
Didn’t see a picture of the perp but based upon his middle name (Marquis) he must be of royal blood.
I would ping georgiagirl_pam as she was the freeper who had the company. Haven’t seen any activity from her in a while though.
If her plan was to rob, why knock on the door?
...why knock on the door?
++++++
It was easier than climbing in a window or breaking down the door?
You didn’t, but TBAs seem to afflict so many of us that it was reasonable to assume that you, too, need Power Squadron courses in seamanship and piloting.
If I don’t know them, I wave them on
He worked for the city of Wichita
her plan was to steal if no one was home
Well, if someone is banging on my door at 1:30am, and the kids are home, and I’m not expecting anyone, there’s a pretty good indication it’s nefarious.
I have motion floodlights that illuminate my porch, front-lighting anyone standing at the door. I can seem though the small window of the steel front door.
Also, there’s an external storm door that’s kept locked; that way, no one can open it and have an immediate way to push open the inner door or mess with the locks.
Since this is PA, I carry everywhere I go - and I do mean everywhere, without exception. When my wife is home alone, there is a .38 Smith snubbie on top of the fridge (foyer to the front door is right alongside the kitchen; from the foyer, you can reach right onto the fridge.
Both of my kids (23 and 20) shoot Expert; being an Instructor myself, I’ve taught them handgun and rifle work since they were little. If they’re home by themselves, they’re both extremely competent with handguns.
It’s just common sense to have a handgun with you. The country has changed so much, the dynamics between people and demographic groups are now more hostile than ever, and above all else - you have an absolute RIGHT to be left alone, unmolested, and safe to live out your life to it’s natural conclusion as much as possible. And you have an absolute right - Civil, Human, and Constitutional - to defend that life that God gave you.
Everyone is responsible for the choices they make in their own lives; if some thug decides “Today’s the DAY!” and winds up getting killed, it’s his own fault.
If you leave people alone, you don’t get hurt. It’s a real simple equation.
We as a country used to understand that. Most Americans still do. Subcultures, however, seem to have difficulty with that simple, basic concept.
