Ann Coulter is great, but I’d rather be like Kent Brantly

Ann Coulter, if she were consistent, would blast Mother Theresa for risking her own health helping the diseased and poor of Calcutta. To be consistent, Ann would tell Mother Theresa that her ministry was a waste of time, and that she’d have done far better ministering to her own people of Albania. Her Albania was officially “The Atheist State of Albania.”

She is remembered. That atheist leadership isn’t. Her outreach gains us, even now, a hearing for our Christian faith with those who reject Christianity.

You are right, P-M, ‘the only Bible they’ll ever read’ is the lives of the giftedly compassionate Christians.

Brantly was doing what Jesus commanded us all to do. I certainly don't have his courage or his devotion to Christ. It is the kind of Christianity we should all strive for. To many of these Hard Hearted Americans, Kent Brantly is the only Bible they will ever read. And to many of us weaker vessels, he is someone to be emulated and a vessel we should be praying that we can someday be like.

I have, in the past few days, found myself completely humbled by these servants of Christ, such as Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Whitebol, and for their obedience to His call on their life. As you stated, sometimes this person or these people are the only Jesus people see. To willingly go walk into these horrific situations, with unspeakable conditions, to spread the love of Christ by being His Hands and Feet, shows such unbelievable faith and love, that it leaves me weeping. And properly humbled.
