I personally think the collapse of Chicago will be even worse than Detroit. The collapse of Detroit happened over decades. The coming collapse will be nationwide and sudden with a much larger entitlement class to be outraged.

At the same time, Michigan is becoming increasingly business friendly.

I can see Chicago becoming even more Balkanized than it is now, but collapse? No.
