The collective salvation of social justice teaching is false salvation.
Taking from others to do good may may the taker feel good but it doesn't save them or the man who was robbed. It just convinces people that they have been saved by force so they have no further responsibility.
True salvation comes with giving of our own free will. I don't know if his thinking was religious but Calvin Coolidge got it.
Duty is not collective. It is personal.

all i know is that they had wealthy people all over when jesus was alive and He never said go and take whatever you want from the rich, they can afford it and it’s their duty to let you take it.
He did say we’d always have the poor with us. poor is a relative measure and you can be poor in other ways than material.
