No need to waste time tunnelling in the US, they are free from attack here.
They do use the mosques as safe houses for travelling/visiting terrorists while recruiting/indoctrinating/fundraising/conducting reconnaissance or rehearsal. They also have some rural camps or communities, like Islamberg, NY, where they can have firing ranges and such.
