You're partly right. It's true that a search of the entire site shows that "Baptist" is not mentioned.
Yet at one time the organization did have Baptist in it's name. Apparently there was a falling out and the word Baptist was removed from the name.
Based on what has been discovered, I think BCFS is ripe for investigation by the IRS. Won't happen of course.
IMHO, the head of any 501(c) non-profit should not get more than $200K in salary and bennies per year. If they think that's not enough to live on, go get a different job.
Well said. I gathered from what I could find (and it takes some darned hard searching to find anything) that BCFS had originated out of a faith based desire to provide for orphans. That dropped away once the government funds started flowing and they seem to have been taken over by what are community organizers.
I just note that a lot of the Baptist affiliated CFS groups are posting on their web sites that they have NO affiliation to this creepy group in Austin
