I did the Durango/Silverton route a couple of times. I also remember years ago while taking Amtrak L.A./Chicago we stopped in Denver and on the tracks next to us there were several rail cars that were set up like something out of the late 1800's, very fancy, very cool...wondered if it might have been an "Orient Express" type of touring outfit.

Love the old steam engine locomotives.
