What is wrong with self-promotion? It seems you are in the minority with wanting to hear from this guy. How are you not promoting your own agenda by attacking this guy?

A lot of things “sound like” things. The way to find out what they ARE is to READ them. This time you really interfered with something important, but you’re too damn clueless to understand that. Stop screwing up important threads.

The Big Guy (copied here so he can chip in if I’m wrong) clearly has no problem with a bit of self-promotion on FR — IF DONE WITHIN THE RULES. Well, this guy followed the rules. Ergo, nobody else has a problem with him posting this excellent piece here.
In fact, contribution of excellent original content along with a little self-promotion according to the rules should be ENCOURAGED here. We need MORE of this, not less. That’s how we make headway in the battle of ideas...
