I think it’s awful that people have to die prolonged, agony-ridden deaths. That’s why I have in my medical power of attorney explicit instructions that no “heroic” measures be taken to keep me alive.

I think that is different than euthanasia. Letting nature take it’s course is far different than actively causing death.

I've taken it a step further: If I show the slightest fever, I am to be fed into a wood chipper.

While still conscious.
