Yep.

There's a commercial for some Angie's List type operation where
one can find contractors and such where this 30-ish lady says
she needs light fixtures and ceiling fans installed and "Who's going to do that?"

I can help but wonder what sort of inept defectives she must have in her life.

Electricity is like Kryptonite to me but even having intentionally avoided working with it as much as possible, even I learned the hows through osmosis of those around me.

Remember the pic of the kid with the fork and the light socket? I was never the same after that. (and watching an an MSD digital 6 send pretty blue waves across my chest didn’t help later in life either) ;)

But yea, that stuff is basic. To us. But many of the new wave is just clueless. They cant go to Home Depot and buy the right parts that go to wire the fan much less work the tools much less run the wires behind a wall and across the ceiling much less make the right connections. They don’t know ANY of these things, all of which one would use to survive.
