A sodomite Christian is simply a fundamental contradiction in terms. Period.
I think God is really clear on the matter ...
Romans 1:18-32
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,
25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.
27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;
29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,
30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;
32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
This was making a good point but went the rails when it claimed there was something wrong with giving an interview to a Catholic magazine.
Wow, seriously? Just giving an interview is equally concerning to endorsing homosexual "marriage"? Just talking to someone of a differing belief is "an endorsement"? Who is this nut of an author?
So it is as bad to TALK TO A CATHOLIC MAGAZINE as it is to endorse HOMOSEXUALITY?
Then use Luther as the authority to bash Catholic Theology as flip flopping when they are the one org NOT to flip flop on things like birth control, homosexuluality, sex outside of marriage, ect, ect, ect?
Dudes, your bigotry is showing...
How is it "love" when you are patting someone on the back and telling them all is well as they march on to Hell. That is - an eternity in the lake of fire where the worm dieth not...
As a self-professed "Christian" she should know that the wages of sin is death (and that is the second death). We are all sinners and we all need a Saviour. A Christian may stumble but he/she does not happily walk in sin. We are to pray for those that are trapped in a lifestyle of sin - not encourage them by lying to them.
Underwood also noted that she attends a gay-friendly church.
Yeah, good luck with that. Like I said - sinners are welcome. We are all sinners. Being 'sin-friendly' though, is just taking the express route to damnation. This is not a church. At least not the Bride of Christ.
"It is a sweet and pious belief that the infusion of Mary's soul was effected without original sin; so that in the very infusion of her soul she was also purified from original sin and adorned with God's gifts, receiving a pure soul infused by God; thus from the first moment she began to live she was free from all sin" -- Martin Luther, Sermon on the day of conception of the Mother of God, 1527
Oh, wait, I guess Luther is only an infallible authority for Protestants when he says bad things about Rome. My bad, sorry.
Amy Grant is friends to Melissa Ethridge. I always felt Amy supports gay marriage. Now I believe everyone should be treated with respect (unless it is a liber =) but it does not mean one must support the lifestyle that conflict with God’s Law.
Yes, the Lord is abundantly clear on this matter.
Predictable Screeching Ping
Luther isn’t an infallible authority for any Protestant, whether dealing with Mary or otherwise.
Amy Grant helped destroy a marriage being the other woman. She divorced her husband too. I’m not so surprised she embraced sin considering what she did.
Ironic that a band called Jars of Clay has the biblical understanding of clay and not stronger substance.
Support for gay marriage is the Mark of the Beast.
Any Christian who publicly declares their support may be putting their eternal life in jeopardy.
You can’t be a Christian and support homosexual “marriage”. It is the sanctioning of a permanent sinful condition which is an abomination to a Holy God. It is an attempt to call holy that which by nature is evil.
Oh, so she is the one who’s responsible for that nutcase song.
Yep, he cheated, so it’s cool to go vandalize his car...
“What kind of a church is the popes church?”
The kind that’s more Biblically solid on the subject under discussion than the musicians quoted in the rest of the article. Or for that matter, at least some of Father Martin’s ecclesiastical progeny.
What do I win?
Amy Grant, when receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, gave an un-Christian and undignified acceptance speech. A crude joke about her breasts, in front of family and friends and fellow Christians. She has been in show business too long.
Separation from religious apostasy is clearly commanded by God. Whether or not an interview crosses the line is a topic for discussion, but unlike most in our day, the author takes seriously the biblical doctrine of separation.
This article was good and informative until the writer got into the Catholic-bashing.
