I post everything I write to freerepublic. But I also put it on artfuldilettante.com as well. I’m not a pro-—at writing or IT—so the blog isn’t 1/100th of where I’d like to take it, substantively or aesthetically. I’d like to transform it to a website with a reading list, links, etc., but I haven’t the know-how to do it. Please, go to the site, read my stuff, and let me have it. I really want some feedback.

Boy, do you have that right! FR is an often belligerent and obnoxious audience to write for. I posted my devotional on here (after it was published on my blog first) a few times years ago, and it only took 1 person to lecture me on how the words I wrote was what was wrong with modern Christianity or some such malarkey...and he claimed to be a Believer. Dream killers really. Who needs it? Yeah, so I'm a little thin skinned. That blog/devotional has been updated every day for the last 6 years I'm happy to say!

To the OP, you're competing with millions of others. Where is the traffic coming from? Install a good statistics plugin (statpress comes to mind) (google it). You have to write and write and write to be heard, and even then you have to have others like your stuff. People spend years trying to figure out proper search engine optimization. And most do not succeed. One post will not get you a ton of traffic. A thousand posts might be a good start. Yes, it takes that long.
