Yes, I can buy that the parents were "concerned" about their POW son, but would ANYONE during WWII start goose-stepping around town and learning a rare dialect of German?

And when the son was returned, they STILL spoke German, and wore a Stormtrooper helmet.

And the son "forgets" English and can only speak German?

What would a reasonable person conclude from THAT?

I’ve just read up on what other US POWs received while captives in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The details are nauseating. The blanket statement of torture and death masks the horror of what befell them.

Meanwhile, Bowe Bergdahl quits his post and teaches his “captors” to play badminton.

If Bergdahl gets the hero treatment, even if just in his hometown, it’s a slap in the face to everyone who has worn the uniform with honor, and spitting in the eye of every POW.

The Army is too embarrassed by what has happened to call a halt to this madness. Remember how they played the death of Pat Tillman?

This is much, much worse.

Actually, you’ve just described the plot of “Stalag 17” in which the mole is an American turned Nazi. Every war seems to produce traitors. I don’t know about this soldier yet but his father is a Taliban supporter. As well as being a freak akin to Johnny Jihad’s father. Anybody remember him?
