To the best of my knowledge, the only people who have seen Obama’s original, vault copy, Certificate of Live Birth are former Hawaii Director of Health Chiyome Fukino, former Hawaii Director of Health Loretta Fuddy and Hawaii Registrar of Vital Statistics Alvin T. Onaka, Ph.D. ( plus possibly whatever employee of the Hawaii Health Department it was who made the actual two copies for Obama).
Everyone else has only viewed scanned images of the PDF of the original document which have been intentionally manipulated by computer software to make the scanned images more easily viewable on computer monitors.
The only real legal issue that I see concerns whether the actual data is the same on the original hard copy (which is stored in the office safe of the Registrar) as the data on the scanned images of the PDF.
This is why there has never been a criminal court action for forgery, identity theft or fraud since 2011 when the scanned image of the long form Certificate of Live Birth was posted on whitehouse.gov
Hawaii law permits inspection of the original Certificate of Live Birth under a court order. In June of 2012, Obama’s attorney, Scott Tepper filed with U.S. District Court Judge Henry T. Wingate of the Southern District of Mississippi, an exhibit including a copy of the long form Certificate of Live Birth and a Certified Letter of Verification from the Hawaii Registrar. Judge Wingate could issue a court order for inspection of the original document, if he had a mind to, but that is unlikely since there is a Certified Letter of Verification from Hawaii also included as an exhibit.
Judge Wingate has not yet acted on this civil action (Taitz, et. al. v. Mississippi Democratic Party Executive Committee, Mississippi Secretary of State, Obama, Obama for America, Pelosi, Fuddy, Onaka, Astrue et. al.)

I pretty much agree with you that micro-analyzing the PDF is a waste of time. The only thing that matters is the information on the PDF. And there are three certified verifications that say the information matches. BTW, a synonym for “matches” is “same”. The information on the PDF is the same as on the original.
