Suppose someone is asking the question, well, what can we do, where do we start?
Here's a list of nine places to start.

Personally I like trying to radically simplify things. That is especially appropriate in education. What these professors spend their time doing is creating so much confusion, disinformation, propaganda, alibis, excuses, lies, etc., etc., etc., finally no ordinary citizen knows what to think about the subject anymore. And that's how the Education Establishment wins.
At some point you have to start all over again. Hey, how about we teach these kids to read, teach them to do arithmetic, teach them basic knowledge about their country and the world...That's the way it's been done since the beginning of history.
By stretching out the time it takes to educate somebody, it means more teachers must be hired to educate them. More teachers = more union dues.
Because liberals want as many ignorant people as possible. Ignorant people are easier to manipulate. That’s useful when you seek absolute, total power.
1st reason: they are government schools. Let's stop calling them "public schools" and start calling them "government schools."
2nd reason: they are run by state teachers unions who don't care about education, other than Leftist indoctrination so they can keep getting their paychecks.
3rd reason: federal dept of education and "no child Left Behind" is all the problems with government schools on steroids
Fixing it:
1) Get the feds out of education and nuke the Dept of Education
2) Get education out of the hands of the state teacher's unions and back into the hands of local communities and parents.
The reason that public schools wallow in mediocrity is the following imo. The informal primary mission of public schools in the USA is to babysit kids for working parents, parents who don’t have enough energy at the end of the day to fight the indoctrination that their kids are getting from the public schools.

How to fix problem.
End Federal Gov. involvement in schools! Put control back in hands of the states. Go over the teaching guides and purge all the BS.
Teach what kids really need to know as citizens. Like how to do taxes and fill out an appilcation. And English.
Break the back of the Teaching Unions.
Not taking advantage of modern technology in teaching methods.
Forcing teachers to spend time on marginally educable pupils. (To much parents influence)
Teachers CAN’T discipline pupils.
As the percentage of dumb kids increases in the public schools, the worse the test scores of those schools get.
It's no more complicated than that.
Crummy raw materials. Public schools populated by white students do just fine. American public schools turn out excellent product compared to the the populations of the old country. Asians do better than students in Asia, whites do better than students in Europe, blacks do better than students in Africa, and so on. What people are complaining about is the fact that blacks don’t do as well as whites. That will happen around the same time that whites are as well-represented on pro football and basketball teams and Olympic track teams as blacks.
Because most people are mediocre and the public schools educate 90 + % of the population.
BTW, many of the sweet children are disrespectful and aren’t to interested in learning.
Some people are just more ambitious than others.

2) Get education out of the hands of the state teacher’s unions and back into the hands of local communities and parents.
Parents will only be in control when they write the check for tuition and decide who to give it to.
The video implies that if we could fixed these 9 things that somehow government schooling would be fixed. WRONG. It won't change because it is government owned and run. It is socialist schooling!

Many great ideas but the main action that will create immediate improvements in education is competition.
Get all schooling out of the hands of government and ONLY THEN will parents be in control.
Sounds like the start of a good implementation plan to me.
The MAIN reason government schools stink is that they are socialist.
Parents are separated from their money FIRST, BEFORE the schools provide their “services.”
This is why ALL socialist enterprises stink. The “customers” have NO POWER.
