We have a 6 month supply of dry foods from a survival company and go weekly to buy 6, 1 gallon jugs of water. How long does water stay good?

Also, does anyone recommend having random cigarettes and liquor for barter?

Water doesn't, but it does go flat and needs to be aerated. Just pouring it back and forth between containers will fix that.Bugle Boy loose tobacco comes with cigarette papers. Take a pouch or two (depending on the size of the jar) in to a canning jar and then vacuum seal the jar. No worries about crushing.
