General aviation is not common in most Asian countries. So a kid getting some time in a Cessna or Piper is not likely.
There is a lot of rote memorization in their education system. It’s common to see the Asian student in a razor sharp uniform or a suit, and they will literally memorize the flight manual. But as for their basic stick and rudder skills........
LOL, we have the Young Eagles program where the parents only have to buy gas. The program is ran by pilots who donate their time and aircraft. It’s an under 18 program but they can continue under scholarship after high school.
