You’re added to my copy of the GT Ping List, too. Thanks for the AAR tip; never heard of it before.

Yep.
That is one of my favorite weekly gun-related radio shows.
Wait until you hear Mark’s impersonation of a Prius driving by.
You’ll pee yourself laughing!

Actually, I think AAR is on Sunday evenings at 6PM, but the podcast shows up on my iTunes Monday morning.

Assuming they know the lawyer has the drive. Just don't answer any questions with anything but "please direct all questions to my attorney". ...which will tip them off, if they're on their toes, that the lawyer may have something worth subpoeaning.

Thanks. I would still like to see the Restraining Order itself, but the document you posted tells us two things: (1) the restraining order did not prohibit a search conducted with a search warrant; and (2) Ares sued under 42 U.S.C. 1983, which permits suits only against state agents, not federal agents (which suggests to me that their lawyer may be in way over his head).
To: Lurking Libertarian
It also points out, rather luridly, that the Feds are lying about why they are raiding Ares and using the bureaucratic delay to carry out their unlawful raid.
"We're just doing our job. Take it up with those other guys that the factual determination we are using to justify our actions is a lie... Submit or we'll kill you."

All the more reason they want a lawyer who won’t make a rookie mistake like suing a federal agency under a law that applies only to state agencies.
To: Lurking Libertarian
Sounds like they had one lawyer who wanted them to sell out, they got a second opinion and went with the other guy.
Kind of changing equines mid-thermocline, but better that than just rolling over for a pat on the belly.

Any updates on this story? It seems like it isn’t getting much coverage because of the 24/7 missing plane hype.

I wish this story would be covered. I saw it for about 2 minutes on Fox over the weekend, then they switched back to being the “Missing Plane” cable channel.
