Jordan and Egypt signed treaties with the "State of Israel" ... and recognizing the "State of Israel" has always been on the table vis-à-vis the Israeli-Pali negotiations.

This change to the "Jewish State of Israel" was thrown in by Bibi as a semi-hail Mary pass (to slow down the talks) late in this game.

When this change was first thrown out there by Bibi---Peres ran to any microphone he could find to say recognition of the "Jewish" state is not required for peace.

Hopefully this this demand doesn't backfire on the Bibi administration and Israel.
