I asked this to another earlier but did not get an answer. Perhaps you will. How I understand we derive "YHWH" today actually came from the later Hebrew influenced by the Babylonian exile. This is what I asked: From the chart below how do you derive "YHWH" from the pictographic early Hebrew?

Whether modern or ancient, the meaning remains the same - A letter can be it's 'symbol' or it's 'meaning' (or it's number). The meanings as presented are a bit terse, but here is my understanding:

yud(arm, hand, fist) hey (look, reveal, behold) waw (tent peg, nail) hey ((look, reveal, behold)

Thanks for the article. Very interesting. I am matching what was posited there with the really ancient pictographs and all the possible various meanings.
