nice looking planes, but only one can have the N687 number. in reviewing other registrations of a company (last year), they had same models, and different models. all had a different tail number. i’m not sure we are all not thinking the same thing, paperwork slow? site not updated? data base not updated?, but paperwork has to be filed rain or shine. there isn’t an owner-do-whatever-they-want protocol by the FAA concerning ignoring registration. someone may just not renew, and the FAA would eventually suspend that number until they make contact or not, but this tail number and it’s associated registration was current at the time of crash and renew date next year IIRC.
