One of the police officers who infamously murdered Kelly Thomas, was recently spotted at a Southern California Dennys restaurant. Customers instantly recognized the killer cop as Manuel Ramos, who was recorded on surveillance video beating unarmed Kelly Thomas to death, as he screamed for help.
As Ramos tried to chug his drink before leaving the restaurant, customers yelled. Killer cops arent welcome here. . Last month, Ramos and his partner Jay Cicinelli were found not guilty of murder, even though the homeless, mentally ill man offered no resistance to their brutal assault.
Ramos showed no mercy to Kelly Thomas when he begged for his life. Now Ramos is hopefully starting to realize that he will be shown little mercy from the public.
Following the verdict in the murder case that Ramos and his partner faced, public protests began erupting in California and throughout the country. Last Saturday saw the biggest turn out yet, with a crowd of 300 reported by Los Angeles media outlets, for a Hollywood demonstration against the killing of Thomas and the acquittal of the officers involved.
KEEP THE PRESSURE ON these killer cops, and their departments. SPREAD THE WORD and get out there to show your support at JUSTICE FOR KELLY THOMAS rallies in your area!
Mike Rowe beat somebody to death? Who? Why haven’t I heard about it?
(If beating somebody to death isn’t involved, then your analogy is in error.)
Sure the owner is free to decide. He could have thrown all the other customers out and locked the door. He had plenty of options available.
One of my best friends went thru hell with his brother who was diagnosed as schizophrenic.............the brother was a combat Vietnam vet, a graduate of the University of Michigan and a successful businessman when he was beset by the illness......
His schizophrenia ultimately caused him to die from cancer 3 years ago when he refused treatment from his attending doctors......
What are you wearing right now?
Meanwhile, back to the facts in the case...
The testimony of Corporal Rubio, the officers use of force trainer, was key.
He testified:
- the actions were within the departments policies.
- “the Taser that Cicinelli used on Thomas wasnt working correctly because Thomas continued to fight and the device made a noise that indicated it was being ineffective.
- that after watching the video, Cicinelli hit Thomas three times in the head with the Taser. Officers, he said, are allowed to improvise with their weapons.
-In the video, all things considered, I dont see anything out of policy, Rubio said.
“Defense attorneys also asked Rubio about a part in the video in which Ramos put on white latex gloves and tells Thomas, See these fists? ... Theyre getting ready to f-— you up.
Prosecutors have identified the moment as the point at which the encounter escalated from routine to deadly.
John Barnett, who is representing Ramos, asked Rubio if his clients words were consistent with his training.
Yes, it was a conditional threat, Rubio said. The profanity may be off-color and may be a slight policy violation.
Still the use of words, even profane ones, as a means to avoid endangering an officer or suspect is acceptable, Rubio said.
This is key because the expert brought in from the prosecution stated in court that the officers were entitled to act in accordance with their training.
Also key is the point the defense made to the jury that the city continued to use Corporal Rubio as the use of force trainer even after learning what he would testify to. Asking..”If what he was training these officers was wrong, why didn’t they fire him?”
One more thing.
I was wondering what was in the backpack that Thomas refused to put down and found this:
On the night of July 5, 2011, Kelly Thomas was in possession of a backpack, said Hughes. Inside that backpack was the passport, a computer tablet, mail addressed to an attorney and keys to a Lexus vehicle. None of these items belonged to Kelly Thomas.
It was later learned after the date of the incident, that the owner of the backpack inadvertently left his backpack in a public place and that the keys, the passport, and the computer tablet belonged to the owner of that backpack, he said.” The attorney stated he had thrown his mail in a trashcan in the area.
Mmmmm. something shimmery, of course!
Ohhh. I get it. Khakis!!!! (not)
“How could this guy allow his son to live on the streets?”
His family tried repeatedly. Kelly Thomas was an adult, and it is very hard to get someone put into a mental hospital if they refuse to go.
Thank you too
That pig will get his....eventually.
That is a damn shame. I pray my family never has to go through something like this.
Don't blame the jury! Crappy prosecutors always let the juries take the heat for their stupidity/evil (OJ, Rodney King, etc.). Besides, I'm convinced this DA threw the case because, let's face it, he's LE.
You must have mental illness.
“Theyre cowardly marxist scum no different than the d-bags who sue bakeries for not serving a protected class.”
They should have been chanting:”go home and shoot yourself. Go home and hang yourself!! You’re an enemy of the people!!!
Oh goodie another marxist troll to ignore.
Neither him nor his accomplice should be able to buy groceries within 100 miles. There should be a group of no less than 100 people outside his house 24 hours a day. They should disturb his peace and drive him into a deep, deep depression. Folks should spit on the sidewalk when he passes. They should then mock putting on gloves while saying:”see these hands, they’re going to f***k you up!” They should then laugh with all the verisimilitude they can muster. The wife, the children, all but the most distant relatives should be shunned. Drive this murderer into a cave in the desert!!
I don’t really care, my problem is little marxist scum like you who would do the world a favor by taking your own advice for the cop. (who was found innocent by a jury)
Now talk to someone else.
“Daddy,help me daddy!”
Excellent. It’s way past time we brought back shunning.
More Marxist drivel from me.
Ramos and Cicinelli may still face federal charges, as the FBI is currently reexamining the case.
Perhaps there’s some more minor unpleasantness for the killing crew but Kelly’s body continues to liquify and decompose.
I worked on an acute psychiatric admissions ward for 36 years. We could have restrained Kelly without hurting him. AT ALL.
Can someone locate an post the ICU photo? It should have a thread of its own every day to inflame the horror, hatred, revulsion of what those breathing fungi did to this poor man.
