How do you interpret this?

"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:" (Col 2:16 KJV)

The colossians were Hebrews of the dispersion, and were being persecuted severely by their pagan neighbors for keeping the feasts and the sabbaths.

Paul was encouraghing them to buck up.
