One of the many issues concerning Roods teachings is he references many pagan Gods and Goddesses by attaching them to anything Christian or Christ like in “selling his agenda and belief system” to the uninformed.
Most Christians are not aware of pagan gods and godesss, nor do they need to be as they're focus is rightfully on Jesus Christ...so the idea with Roods teachings, and his followers is to break down individuals belief in Christ by tearing down those things which are related to the Christian Faith first.
This is ‘a breaking down’ of whatever Christian beliefs an individual may have, create doubt and confusion, in order to re-program their thinking to fall in lockstep to, in this case, Roods teachings. Standard practice for cults and cult leaders.....Much like Jehovah Witnesses do and Ultimately most cults.
......Though it generally takes awhile before they expose themselves in that respect, but by then most followers are already in so deep they believe anything they're told.
That is a direct tactic of the enemy of men's souls....creating doubt, creating confusion, and outright lying ...while telling the hearer to make his own decisions. It's deception at it's worst.

Massiach is Yeshua’s title. It is Biblical, unlike cristos.
