They have a point. They DO have a point... and that is the problem. Admitting the gay marriage folks have a point does not mean I am in any way supporting unnatural so-called marriages. Not at all. Unfortunately the secular definition of marriage has mutated to some sort of 'shacked up but we wear rings' kinda thing that hardly means anything. Drawing the line at homosexual unions is too little to late. We need to work on fixing ALL of marriage. You can't draw your line in the sand down where the waves are splashing. You have to draw it up above the high tide mark. This author has a very good point and nothing about his point defends the concept of gay marriage. He is just way WE (straight couples) have given them their talking points because WE have not taken marriage seriously.

Marriage is about providing a protective environment for the arrival and rearing of children. The word “matrimony” spells that out much more clearly.

I said it was a decent point, but that he didn’t emphasize that the point has absolutely nothing to do with the reason for marriage.
