If you want to be on this right wing, monarchy, paleolibertarianism and nationalism ping list, but are not, please let me know. If you are on it and want to be off, also let me know.

(Repeat from another thread.)

I’ve been watching the situation by the hour. It seems that the protesters are digging in and not accepting the compromise agreement signed by the leaders with Yanukovych just before midnight and giving the 300 arrested amnesty. Revolution is in the works. They are building barricades, and preparing for serious fights. “The band (Yanukovich’s regime) is using all methods to choke us. Why should we keep down?” asks Andrei Tarasenko, coordinator of a new radical movement Right Sector which refuses to negotiate with the regime. Graffiti on the walls along the main avenue in Kiev: “This is our land! Liberty or death! Long Live the Revolution!”

By the way, get ready for a poster here who is a member of the George Soros Fan Club, in the negative sense, but the obsession is the same as if he worshipped him, who will repeat this one line that Soros is behind the protests, funding them and organizing via his proxy organizations. Don’t believe it, and you’re “utterly stupid”, and of course a globalist.

Well if he can come up with evidence, that's what I'll believe. It certainly wouldn't be the first time Soros has played around in that part of the world, nor would it be the first time FReepers flung themselves off a blind cliff only to get burned.

That said, I haven't really paid it any attention. We've got too many problems closer to home.

Soros meddles everywhere, but he is also disliked in Eastern Europe as much or more as he is disliked here, and the amount of influence he has there is at the very least questionable.

Ukranians protest, fight etc.

we conservatives and Americans sit watching TV while the socialists/democrats take away our freedom, steal our money, ruin our opportunities to make money, while they steal our country and our birthright

For those who don’t know, folks in the Ukraine are wanting closer ties with the EU. Yanukovich is pro-Russian and wanted a loan from Russia instead. That’s part of what started it. Russia, of course, wants to own the Ukraine and other former satellite Soviet countries again.

Yeah he does...

Soros helped bring down the communist government in Poland, toppled Serbia’s bloodstained strongman Slobodan Milosevic, and fueled the “Rose Revolution” in Georgia. Soros has also funded opposition parties in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Croatia, Georgia, and Macedonia, helping them into either power or prominence. All of these countries were once Russian allies.

“folks in the Ukraine are wanting closer ties with the EU”

In the west, that’s true. In the east, its the opposite. Can’t help but be reminded of Castro’s guerrillas fighting the Batista regime. Guess which side FEMEN fights for?

Let the Ukrainians join the EU and within five years they will be bankrupt like most of western Europe. Also, I think Russia should not be calling the shots either. I think this is what is going to happen until all of Europe is over run by the Soro-ist. Nothing but chaos.

I agree. Ukraine needs to steer clear of any kind of economic union that will steal their sovereignty.

I’ve been in contact via email and twitter with Ukrainians in the Square, Kiev, Odessa, Uzhgorod, and Dnepropetrovsk in the last three days. I’m told that the military (Ukrainian?) went through Dnepropetrovsk on their way to Kiev. At this point all significant protest is in the central section of Kiev. All have used the same words to describe the ordeal. They use sad, corrupt, illegal, desire for independence, freedom, and liberty. They are peaceful people that are caught in a corrupt situation. Yanukovych is a Putin puppet who was removed fm office for corruption in 2004. I believe that the crackdown will intensify around February 6 when the world is distracted by Sochi.

You (We) don’t like the EU, so you think the Ukrainians who want to join it, and are shedding blood for the cause (although that is not the sole cauyse of these protests!), are just stupid, and we are soooooo much smarter than them. They have their reasons, their good reasons from their point of view, not, thankfully, ours. Try to learn them.

I wish them all well, but I think I will sit this one out until John McCain decides what side he wants to bomb and then I’ll pull for them to win.

I'm not sure if any significance should be placed in the symbolism in this photo ?

I remember hearing Soros come right out and say that betting on our enemies in Iraq had cost him and it hadn’t turned out the way he hoped.

John McCain has already appeared last month on behalf of the protestors. McCain gets contributions from George Soros Open Society group

McCain sided w Al Qaeda in Syria. He seems to like the Globalists and the Terrorists. Not sure if one of the EU Ukrainians have eaten a rival on YouTube
