Then you are saying the South was stupid! Voting for big government progressives Wilson and Roosevelt even though they didn’t want big government?

There was no way a Democratic southerner was going to vote Republican in the decades after the Civil War. This tradition was passed on generation to generation and only recently has that paradigm changed. I don't think they were stupid, it's like the Conservatives now, we get candidates that are RINO's and have little choice.
