Only because at the beginning, the masses were disarmed feudal serfs, conditioned to harsh overlordship. That's not America, where there are as many firearms as people.

True. But I see our younger generations willing to become serfs, giving up their liberty for 'safety'. Pretend safety that equates to having the government give them things now and being in debt for even more generations to pay for it.

If the collapse/revolution comes soon, I think there is hope. There are enough of us left that remember and respect the Constitution. And are willing to go down with the ship. Another 20-30 years, maybe even less than that - I wouldn't count on the Generation Xers and those following to even notice there's a problem.

You might be suprised at the younger generation. There are a core that are pretty upset about the NSA spying and government over-reach. That's why this article about Anonymous got written. Anonymous isn't a bunch of old retirees.
