(((HUGS))) Don’t worry about that, TYR. Like all FReepers on this thread, gas_dr was very helpful and sincere in offering information and good wishes to you for your daughter’s recovery.
I’m sure he will respond to your freepmail after he sleeps and receives your message. Judging by his screen name, I believe he might be an anesthesiologist and critical care doctor.
Just jot down any intervening questions, in brief, and that will free your mind between the doctor’s visits. I’m glad you are finally getting some rest. God’s blessings on you and your family in the new year!
“”Judging by his screen name, I believe he might be an anesthesiologist and critical care doctor.””
You were absolutely right. I did hear from him and he made a choice between pulmonology and anesthesiology and he chose the latter for critical care specialty. Good pick up on that. Personally, I would have picked pulmonology as it’s easier to spell.
Saw our daughter last night and she was doing much better. Was sitting up in a chair and enjoying not being confined to the bed. Could be allowed to go home today or tomorrow depending! They certainly don’t want to release her before she’s ready.
They don’t appear to be big fans of obamacare on the floor. The word was spoken in a hushed voice as they walked by us. I knew there was going to be a penalty if hospitals released patients too soon and they had to be readmitted for the same illness but Rebecca said they told her it’s within 30 days and that I didn’t know or simply forgot. How utterly ridiculous. I spent months going over that stupid bill and I could spend the remainder of my life and still not know all the surprises in it. NOR could anyone in DC who voted for the gosh darned thing!
I’m thankful to all of you who offered prayers for Rebecca’s healing. There’s no doubt whatsoever that they were all heard. Can’t say enough for the great hospital staff either.
