Mom booted me out of the house at 16. I was working 3 part-time jobs and going to high-school. I managed.
I also learned that one should be careful what one says to mom.

Both of my kids left to enter the service when they were 18. My son chose the army and my daughter chose the navy. Both are doing very well, these days.
