In his press conference on December 20th, President Obama urged the House of Representatives to support the Senates immigration bill, which passed 68-32 in late June. Among the concerns cited by Americans who oppose reform are that immigrants will take their jobs, drive down wages, increase criminal activity, burden the welfare system, and reshape the cultural dynamic of the country. These concerns are mostly ill-founded. The legitimate concerns have real solutions, and a more open immigration policy will be a net benefit for all Americans...
Highlights from Article:
- A 2013 study by the American Action Forum states that "immigration reform can raise population growth, labor force growth, and thus growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
- In 2013 the Bipartisan Policy Center came to similar conclusions. It makes the prediction that current provisions, as included in the Senate Bill, would raise GDP 4.8 percent over twenty years.
- According to the Immigration Policy Center, immigrant males between the ages of 18 and 39 (which constitute the greatest portion of the prison population) are five times less likely to be incarcerated than are natives.
- A 2011 survey by the Pew Research Center revealed that 92 percent of second generation and 96 percent of third generation Hispanics speak English proficiently.
- A 2010 Gallup poll revealed that Hispanics attend church services more often than non-Hispanic whites.
- Since an influx of immigrants means an expansion of the labor supply, many assert that the result will be less jobs and lower wages. However, as asserted by Jason Riley, a member of the Wall Street Journal editorial board, The number of jobs in the United States is not static. Its fluid, which is how we want it to be.

If Mr mars eats a mars bar, is it cannibalism?
“Awwww. She’s so cute! Augh augh, my soul has been torn asunder!”
That dude can sing.
Hasn’t he semi-retired?
Pink drink?
Is that similar to a blue thingy?
Bruno Mars is awfully Latino-girly. He reminds me Esai Morales when he was gussied up, way back in the 1980s.
Tom likes “Tobuscus” on the video-commentary thing.
Pink Drink is a mildly alcoholic pink beverage, available at Walmart (and some other stores) for less then $3 a bottle.
I didn’t expect to like him, but I thought he was great during the half time show at the Super Bowl. That’s the only time I’ve seen him.
Bruno Mars
With sales of 12 million albums worldwide,[5] and 68 milion singles sold with some of them are considered as one of the best-selling singles of all time,[6] Mars is now regarded as one of the most successful solo artists in all over the world, landing 5 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 ever since his career launched in 2010, faster than any male singer since Elvis Presley.[7] In 2011, Mars was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world.[8] In 2014, he was ranked number one on the Forbes 30 under 30 list.[9] He has won two Grammys.[10]
Mars is known for his infamous stage performances and retro showmanship,[11] that usually include playing a variety of instruments such as electric guitar, piano, keyboards and drums, dancing and performing a wild range of musical styles, including reggae, soul and funk music.

Lol.
The commentary is what makes it work.
Oh, gee—just leave that baby girl to me! (I know this sounds weird, but I’ll take Tom, too!)
The video Darks linked is my first exposure, so I have no idea whether Bruno Mars is a good performer in real life.
I find him annoying.
Not as annoying as the “singer” called “Lorde”.
The lyrics are annoying.
And there is no movement in the songs.
Example, that they play nonstop here:

Unnngh.
If you have a job for Tom, he’s on the market. He needs a Future. He’ll be 18 end of October. He’s big, strong, smart, funny ... and either the best thing that ever happened to Oklahoma or a global disaster.
You garden, right? He’s into plants!
That was the “literal interpretation” of this song:

Good voice, nice percussion, but the song makes me cringe. I’m just a mean old cynic.
This is Bruno Mars:

He actually sings and plays instruments. Is that amazing, or what? :)

You? Never. :)
Most pop musicians lip sync their live shows these days.
Milli vanilli got crucified for it back in the day.
Almost everyone in bluegrass sings and plays instruments. Someone who’s just a vocalist, like Rhonda Vincent, is so rare as to be notable.
I’m not really much of a bluegrass fan.
All right. You win.
