Thanks for that. Of course Paul was writing to believers, though the Corinthian Church had a lot of problems, they were believers none the less. Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world which is everyone, but you still have to believe, and I worry that people miss the part about believing, which is necessary in order to become saved. I reacted in a similar way, it takes faith to follow Christ not by the law. When I read 1Cor6 I see Paul taking to task the believer who has been cheated by another believer, that to go to secular courts you already have defeated yourself. I think Paul is taking the intention of Our Lord on lust being a infraction of thou shall not commit adultery. If I take a believer to court because he cheated me I am just as greedy. He advises the community to endure.
