The authoritarian clowns running our government get more like the villains in a James Bond spoof with every passing trespass against our freedom and privacy. The latest:
The U.S. National Reconnaissance Office launched a new spy satellite Thursday evening on mission NROL-39 and the new logo and tagline are quite an eye opener.
The new logo features a giant, world-dominating octopus, its sucker-covered tentacles encircling the planet while it looks on with determination, a steely glint in its enormous eye. The logo carries a five-word tagline: Nothing is beyond our reach.
What exactly is NROL-39 all about? Our rulers arent telling.
The NROL-39 mission was classified, as are nearly all missions and satellites launched by the secretive NRO. It was carried aloft by a United Launch Alliance rocket from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California at 11:13 p.m. PST, according to NASAspaceflight.com. Because the launch trajectory matched that used by other launches, it was likely carrying a third satellite for the agencys radar reconnaissance fleet, the site said.
Heres the logo:
If it looks familiar, you might be thinking of this:
or this:
or maybe this:
Wondering whether to laugh at the Obama Regime or regard it with dread? The answer is both.
Not sure it is still there, this was many years ago.
I read a couple of books and many articles that dealt with the NRO and Keyhole Series satellites. Those satellites are obsolete now, but I am sure hi-tech has expanded NRO's satellite capability greatly.
There's Falcon AFS (I think they call it Schriever these days)...but that's east of the Springs. And then there's Buckley AFB...but that's all the way up in Aurora. Do you think you might be thinking about one of those places? (They both have their share of "nondescript" buildings...and they both host NRO organizations)
I guess they couldn’t wait for Cthulhu to rise up....
They’re letting us know in no uncertain terms that they are watching everything we do. In other words, “Don’t dare try anything.”
The blond in L-34 gets my vote. For what, I do not know.
I’ve spent some time studying government patches, primarily those associated with secret aerospace programs, and it’s surprising how much they will often reveal in them....both visually and rhetorically.
It has been a while. I think at the time it had NRO on it.
It was a metal frame building with reflective silver glass.
Seems like it was on the East side of the highway on the North end of Colorado Springs.
But remember, that was probably in 1986. My memory at that range is not that good.
