40 years ago I was building roads and airports through the bush in the Virgins. At night I was drinking Heinekens at the Quaterdeck or bars like it depending on which island I was on. It was there that I met a marine biologist from the University who taught me how to dive. Never did sail much and at my age my back isn’t what it used to be so I won’t be sailing off into the sunset but I did enjoy your essay. Brought back memories of my misspent youth. :-}
