Good luck to you. I was heaviest years ago at 330lb in the year 2000. It may be different for a man, but I’m not that tall at 5ft8. Somehow, I was able to lose that weight, came all the way down to 220lb.back in 2006. I did watch my diet and all, but I was doing that ‘watching’ when I was fat too.

Sometimes, I think the body is just ready to let go of large fat deposits, and will slim down without drastic measures. My weight is creeping back up though, I’m now at 255lb. so I need to scale back even more. I use the weight machines and stationary bike at the fitness center. I have flat foot problems, so cannot use the elliptical right now. I still enjoy going there, seeing everybody working at improving their body.

Wow congrats for losing the weight. I myself have been struggling with it since childhood. Food comforted me during difficult periods. I have no doubt if I remained think I probably would have been on drugs or some other vice. As a child I remember eating anything and knowing full well I was not hungry.

Now I’m trying to lose it using http://www.sparkpeople.com/ which is free. Right now being unemployed is not easy but it easier since with little money I have, I barely can get food.

As stated how can one get so overweight and allow it. I thought about it until it dawn on me. If you ask an Anorexic how can they get so thin, they don’t consider or feel thin. They believe they are Fat so they continue on losing more weight until they are bones. The same is with an obese, but reverse. I don’t FEEL fat, so even gaining 5 lbs is not much so I don’t feel it. I do hate myself for letting go but hell I’m not going to give up trying. Again Congrats with the weight loss.

Thank you, and that’s an impressive weight loss! I actually like going to the gym. I’ve been feeling better, must be those endorphins kicking in. Good luck with your weight loss!
