I suspect similar dynamics would apply in the United States. The news of gun confiscation searches would leak out in advance of any searches.

This is why the liberal fascists so desperately demand gun registration, or its precursor, universal background checks. Once the guns are registered, burying them is not a viable option.

Gun Registration is Gun Confiscation

...gun confiscations

Coming attractions.

The wet dream of statists - "A society where only the police and military are armed." numerous sources but two specific ones are Sara Brady and Maynard Jackson (the late and unlamented former mayor of Atlanta and corrupt as only a black democrat could be)

Oh and BTW the local police will be the jackboots on the ground doing this. Be prepared

I have heard many times I'll just bury my guns or hide them.

Foolish thinking if one can't not use them with out being subject to confiscation they are worth less.

How long are you going to keep the buried when are you going to dig them up if you die who is going to find them.

If confiscation comes it is time to use them instead of hiding them.

Having some hidden away so one does not lose all of them at one time is a good idea.

But thinking you can store them until the bad times are gone is foolish thinking.

For the time being the GOP is clinging to protecting the 2nd Amendment while it has lost interest in defunding/repealing obamacare, even though that was the promise of many of those sorry folks up for reelection.

Next up will be legalizing the illegals. GOP is already considering dumping on us and making concessions there.

My opinion after the illegals are made legal, the next logical step for the GOP to take is declare gun registration is a good thing and go for it.

And this is all possible before the next prez election.

When Barky says, “If you like your gun, you can keep it,” you'll know what's coming.

I remember when Marcos first ordered the registration of all guns.

I said “He will confiscate them within two years.” I was right. The news media loved it wanted the same for the USA.

When he began confiscating them, the American news media loved it and called for the same in the USA.

I then said “Marcos will will seize power within two years.” It wasn’t two years till Marcos seized power. The USA media went ballistic.

NEVER REGISTER OR GIVE UP YOUR GUNS!

If the govt is ever stupid enough to try to do this in the US much less our state of GA it won’t be 48 hours til the cops will refuse to go out on patrol. They will be dropping like flies everytime they get out of the patrol car at Dunkin Donuts.

Remember the guy in CA that got burned out in a Big Bear cabin? One guy had the whole LAPD hunkered down in a parking garage. It was surreal.

The US is not Britain or the Phillipines. First of all we have a Constitution and secondly the American psyche is naturally anarchistic.

as far as I’m concerned, that basically what he’s saying when he talks about “common sense measures”, lying sack of shiite that he is. I’d sooner see this country burned to the ground than see it disarmed by the likes of him.

Now is as good as time as any to bring the subject of SWAT team and weapon confiscation teams up with your mayors and town councilors. Grab a friend, make an appointment and go do it.

IMO, it should be common knowledge where our city, state and federal officials live. Yes, the county bureaucrats, the local, state and federal police officers, every single one of them. Let’s remove the cloak of anonymity from these public officials! They work for us, remember?

It is not difficult to make someone live in fear for their lives as many of you already know. Making our elected local, county, state or federal officials acutely aware of that feeling is not a popular idea but I assure you after once having that taste in your mouth, it is not one quickly forgotten. Why should we be the ones who fear them if we are not criminals? Don’t go after them in their protected offices or when they are on duty in patrol vehicles. Wait until they are ‘off duty”, when they are in their homes and their families are as vulnerable as ours are.

If our LEO’s or military troops under the orders of our elected officials ever administer violence to US citizens or attempt to confiscate our firearms that keep us free then I believe it should be returned in equal force to their superiors families.

I promise you that a single bullet through the kitchen window of the Mayors house will make for an excited dinner conversation with his wife that evening. The Mayor will then understand exactly what he did when he ordered or acquiesced violence against his townspeople.

The Chief of Police’s wife wouldn’t hesitate to explain in fine detail to her husband what a wonderful job he’s doing if her home were to receive a copper jacketed message through the front door.

--agree--it's like the oft-repeated statement that"I had a boating accident and my guns all went overboard"--the Brits already developed the government reply to this tactic--they jailed the maker of the statement until they were ready to admit where the guns really were--

--and I recall seeing a few years ago a quote from one of the nationally known gun grabbers that a "buried" gun would nearly serve the same purpose as confiscation---

Ross Perot advocated door to door gun searches.

CSMonitor:
During a crime wave in Dallas in 1986, Perot set up round-table meetings between police officers and people in the news media. In those meetings, according to Todd Mason, former Dallas bureau chief for Business Week, in his 1990 biography of the businessman: “Perot espoused cordoning off minority neighborhoods and searching door-to-door for weapons and narcotics.”

Its too bad most conservatives don't have his willpower.

I bet most will turn in their guns because they are pathetic betas who need to get up bright and early the next morning to pay off their mortgage and consumer lifestyle.

I sat right next to him at one of those meetings. He didn’t mention that at the meeting I attended. If he had, he would have gotten an earful from me.

I knew it, just as I knew he was pro-abortion, I remember that his supporters, whether they were hard left, or hard right, all thought that he perfectly reflected their thinking and positions, his campaigns were a nightmare for someone like me to have to watch, as they worked on so much of the population.
