Number 11 is simply a gargoyle like is on many ancient cathedrals around the world. I forget what the symbolism is but its not malevolent.

I lived there then and used Stapleton regularly. IIRC they did like a $380 million dollar remodel of Stapleton while they were starting on DIA. Talk about waste. That whole deal was some kind of blank check from the get go, and remember we had an Obama type bi/gay mayor (Pena) at the time, whose in-laws owned land at the new airport.
