These bishops have nothing to do with my Catholic faith. The Church neither rose nor shall it fall by their hand. “We struggle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of this dark age.”
Ephesians 6.

The Church shall not be spared my dear friend, but for the sake of the Elect, these days shall be cut short.

God. Eucharist. Sabbath. Repentance. Confession. Prayers up. Stay yourself in the state of Grace with these gifts, no matter if hell comes to your very table. Sacraments are offered for our salvation. We are in coming chastisement and for a time may be without them. Let us gird ourselves in them now. Love, Rita

I know exactly how you feel.    However, I hope we both manage to stay inside the Church somehow.

Dolan (who loves to huggy-poo and kissy-poo with president B-O -- that extremely anti-Catholic baby-slaughtering bigot), and the rest of the USCCB, are making efforts which go directly against the teachings of the Catholic Church, as found in the Catechism, including here:

- - - - - - -

CCC 2241: Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them,to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens.
- - - - - - -

The whole USCCB appears to back this lawlessness, seeking not only to reward illegal behaviors by these illegal immigrants, but also to violate the Church's plain teachings, as well as God's laws of fairness and justice, pushing all the law-abiding potential immigrants to the back of the line behind these law-breaking illegal scofflaws. That violates the principles of both fairness and justice, and is just plain wrong.

Unfortunately, this kind of sinful misbehavior by entire national groups of bishops in not new. The Canadian bishop conference openly rebelled against Pope Paul VI and his "Humanae Vitae" in the 1960's.

We've also had a lot of instances in the last 50 years of some really bad bishops arising here and there within the Church (like Judas Iscariot), and trying to teach doctrines contrary to the actual teachings of the Church, either by their words, or by their examples, including that recent nutbag Archbishop of Freiburg, and the recent fruitcake bishop in Scotland, and the recent "bad" bishops in Ireland, and some bad bishops in the US, etc.

Regarding the USCCB, I think we need lay people and clergy (including good bishops) who see through all this kind of nonsense being expressed by these USCCB bishops, to stay inside the Church and fight their nonsense, and to somehow do it in a more organized and noticible and effective kind of way.

So, far, I don't think individual letter writing and that kind of thing does anything to make these USCCB types reconsider what they are pushing for. They just ignore those kinds of letters and emails, and just throw them in the "biz-bag" so to speak.

I think that somehow, we have to get a more organized and a stronger and more powerful and effective approach set up, and it should definitely include an effort to divert Church money donations normally placed in the collection baskets away from Dolan and the USCCB, and towards much more worthy recipients (outside the collection baskets). (And these kinds of efforts need wide publicity and support.)

How all this can be done, I do not know. (We all certainly need to pray a lot.)
