An Inconsequential Washington DC

Couple the government shutdown with the debt ceiling deadline, and there is something that should be clear to everyone at this point – Washington D.C. must be rendered inconsequential in the everyday lives of Americans.

Since this same debacle is going to replay itself in just a few short months, it is time for the Republicans to do what is in the best interests of the country and gut the federal government. Here are a few examples they could consider in their “negotiations” with Obama:

oh....when the ChiComs and all the others finally come to collect their 700 trillion dollars....I think we’re all gonna find that they’re quite consequential.

This presumes a cutting board exists at all.

This is all fine if you enjoy playing “what-if” games. Without the prospect of a willing congress, it’s just an exercise in frustration.

How do we arrange a willing congress? There’s another mental exercise that will lead to frustration, or at least, it has so far...
