It's official: Obama has won and conservative Republicans have lost. The US Senate just approved legislation to end the so-called government shutdown and raise the debt ceiling. The bill funds the government through January 15th, raises the debt cap, give back-pay to furloughed workers, and has only two tiny crumbs of concessions that essentially do nothing. The first is that Obamacare will verify the income of those signing up for it, but as the website and program itself is so riddled with junk, that'll likely never happen. The second bit of nothingness is that a bipartisan budget committee will form and create a broader budget plan by mid-December. This is the equivalent of me saying I'll work on my diet plan while living at a buffet restaurant and having pizza delivery on speed dial. Nothing will come of this and it'll just be another dog and pony show for the rubes.
The sad fact is that this loss is more than a political hit to conservative Republicans. It's a loss to America as the government spending will continue to spiral upwards beyond the insane levels we currently have. Right now, the US government takes in $200 billion a month but spends $300 billion. Raising the credit line on the taxpayer credit card isn't going to solve the problem. We've reached the tipping point and if the parasites who subsist off of government handouts become a majority, the game is over and the American experiment will come to an end.
The only positive that I take from this is that we know more clearly those who stand up for saving America and those who are willing to end our republic and let it become a socialist state in the progressive mold. The actions of these RINOs and beltway politicians clearly show they're not on the side of the American people as we are continually robbed. We need to clean house of turncoat Republicans such as John McCain, Mitch McConnell, and John Boehner, who signaled that he supported the legislation. I would gladly love to see the majority of politicians swept out and term limits put in place as they become corrupted very quickly and look to represent special interests and not the people.
Still, the media will cheerfully gloat and progressive liberals will have a field day on various forums. I listened to our Liar-in-Chief's brief comments and fought to keep the bile from rising up my throat. This will be treated as a tremendous victory, but the true reality is that these insane progressives are dancing while Rome is burning. Hail to the emperor as he plays us another tune.
The house just passed the senate bill. 233 votes presently. Damn them to hell.

The GOP could have easily defeated this.
A large majority of repubs voted against it. Boehner violated the Hastert rule and led a minority of Repubs to side with the Dems to give in on this critical fight.
Since Boehner broke the Hastert rule, then the GOP conservative should rebel in the House against Boehner and vote him out as the Speaker and replace him with a conservative Speaker willing to do battle and take Obama to the mat.
In fact the GOP should take the following line in talking to Obama.
"Look, Barry, we have the votes to stop you cold, and we have decided to use those votes.That's the discussion a real Speaker of the House should be having with Obama.
"We control government funduing and we are going to exercise that control.
"We are talking about a complete shutdown where not so much as a dime will be available for you to even heat the White House, so get ready to stay at the local Holiday Inn on your own dime for the duration. Also, tell Michelle she can send her 100+ assistants home to, and weed her own garden.
"The only thing we will fund during that time is the US military you hate so much.
"When you are ready to talk about seriously creating a budget...one that is balanced, one that really reduces the debt...and we are talking about a true reduction in the actual amount we owe, not just a reduction in the percentage of your spending increases...and a budget we that puts an end to ObamCare. When you are ready to seriously talk to us about those things...get back with us.
"Oh, BTW, Barry. One other thing we will fund is the following. The House of Reprentatives will meet each day with the express purpose of impeaching your sorry backside each day for the next 60 working days. Impeach you each day on a different charge. 60 impeachments, Barry. When you get ready to talk to us, then the first thing the Senate will have to take up is those 60 impeachments. Think about that while you are waiting, and watching.
"So, we have the votes, and we are firm. Give us a call when you are ready to talk. Bye now."
Would’ve been nice if Americans would’ve gotten behind the GOP’s efforts. Instead they shit all over them, with their minds focused on their government checks.
America lost the minute the Manchurian Candidate was elected. BTW, the piper will come to call. Probably next year. Add tha everyone on welfare will get nothing and no restorative payments after the fact. Further, let the welfare recipients understand that if the country defaults their welfare is over for the rest of their lives. So they should put pressure on their senators to cave. Amnesty next to wipe out the Tea Party clout. Bet on it folks.
The world is opening it’s eyes and seeing how dangerous Obama is.
On this very sad & tragic day for America, I will go to bed shortly and indulge in dreams of seeing this fantasy come true. I would rather indulge in these types of fantasy dreams rather than stewing & swearing & venting, like I have for most of the day & evening.

With almost a majority of people looking to government for their daily bread (and flat screen tvs), it’s an uphill battle. It’s hard to fight against Dems, government serfs, and the media. We’re always told to hold off till the next fight as that’ll be more important but the next time might be too late.
Traitor McCain is always so nice on TV when he says “I understand the frustration. I agree with them but this is not the way to do it.” But from the floor of the senate he slanders true conservatives.
My hope now is this country survives long enough for me to get moved to the mountains. I need no more than a year. But I’m afraid it really is about to hit the fan. And I live about 3 miles from a Walmart.
True conservatives with a squeeky clean pass that can’t be blackmailed by the NSA will have to be found.
