I hear you.
But, you can’t just join a survival community. Those communities are made up of people who trust each other. I don’t belong to one, but I know people I trust who could create one.
Do you see what I mean?
Go somewhere. Make friends, and do not discount God. Why should He abandon you? Do you think, that He makes an imperfect being and expects them to be perfect? NO! He just expects them to honestly strive for it.

“But, you can’t just join a survival community. “ Well as I said above, if that is true, then I figured I was gonna be dead in such a scenario anyway so might as well get it over with. I figured I did not really have any options other than trying to learn how to be useful to such a community since none of my friends, coworkers or neighbors would ever consider it - hell, by and large they all think Obama is going to ride in on his white horse and gallantly rescue them from any crisis they encounter. And I don’t even think any churches in my city would ever be willing and able to start one. So the problem was that I presumed that was the sole option I had, that or death.
