Yep. My son (with whom I'm inordinately proud) was the go-to guy in his schools. When someone was being bullied they'd ask him to approach the bully and if necessary "explain to them by hand" why they shouldn't bully other kids.
He told me the first time this happened, and that he had indeed needed to get physical.
"Did it work?" "Yep."
