No they cannot.
I certainly understand why you feel that way but that level of anger, if prolonged, is just about guaranteed to put you in the cardiology or neurology unit sooner or later. The world is never going to conform 100% to our desires. In fact, if you follow Christianity you can easily find statements in the Bible that pretty much guarantee the opposite. Chill a little.
Oh I agree with you I dont think you should pay more if you have more money sorry if it came across that way. When I went to figure out what the premiums would be I also plugged in the same amount of people, same age but with a higher income of 500K and to my surprise the premium was the same amount as the 130K income.
Right. This is total BS. If you don’t have a tax refund coming you cannot be touched. The Obamacare law is pretty specific.
My guess is that very few people will sign up. The IRS will send out threatening letters full of illegal threats and if ignored nothing will happen.
bttt ... bttt ... bttt ...
No, but HHS can. They get to make up the rules as they go.
No they have no legal authority to write laws - screw them!
Hey Susan, stop the threats and oh. FU!
There ya go. Ignore these illegal and criminal a holes!
If they follow the law. IRS got a good record following the law lately? Nope they don’t.
If Sebilius deems that all insurers cover abortion, then voila, it becomes law. If Sebilius deems that the penalties for non-compliance be taken out of the first paycheck of the year, then so be it. The Act grants her that authority.
“

Exactly right. “The Secretary shall determine...” “At the Secretary’s discretion...”
That is the very definition of ad hoc law. It can’t work.
“If you skip the insurance, youll pay a penalty. For 2014 the fine is $95 for an individual or 1 percent of your income, whichever is greater, along with $47.50 per uninsured child, maxing out at $285 for the year. “
Easy. Work under the table, avoid the tax, get free healthcare, and enjoy a higher standard of living than mere working taxpayers.
If the IRS thinks that people won’t make what seems like a rational financial decision to them (morality aside) then they are kidding themselves.
Where did the Founders say in the Constitution that you can be forced to buy health insurance. That the Government can fine you if you don’t/
Justice Roberts is probably the worst Chief Justice in the history of this country.
He will get no respect from me. He is a criminal in my book
This will create a whole new category of “ambulance chasers”. Insurance agents will be waiting on the loading dock of the ER.
I’ve read many times and heard it said many times all the Irs can do is keep your refund.
And the subsidy is in the form of a tax credit. That’s why people won’t buy it.
I wrote a whole article explaining why Obamacare must inevitably lead to IRS Gulags. http://www.futurnamics.com/gulag.php
Sort of, but the subsidy amount is taken off the price up front when you enroll.
"you will receive a tax credit that can be applied immediately toward your health insurance premium."

My wife is pressuring me to take money out of the bank. I’m just not sure where to hide it.
