They will even be fervent in their support of you. This may seem counterintuitive but it is human nature that once someone controls another person’s essential needs, the controlled person will decide, conciously or not, to adopt the attitude of supporting the person who controls him or her. Once gov’t turns everyone into a peasant dependent on gov’t for health care, the popular support for the gov’t will become almost universal.
