Love and hugs and more prayers for you both. You two have remarkable courage—your faith will sustain you.
We got her formal diagnosis of Interhepatic Cholangiocarcinoma stage 4B. That's bile duct cancer, inside the liver. When discussing whether or not she should begin chemo the Dr. told her that she wouldn't live 6 months without treatment but could expect 8-12 months if she submits to treatment. We talked and talked and talked about her options. Since the Dr. promised to take every measure he could to prevent severe nausea she decided to do the chemo. Even if it only buys 2-6 months extra time there's no telling what can happen in those extra months. She agreed to the chemo but only so long as she has a decent quality of life. If her quality of live declines due to the chemo she's going to stop it.
So far she is handling the chemo extremely well. The only negative from chemo so far is that she's always tired and weak, but no nausea. So far so good. She starts her third round tomorrow and after this round she'll have CT scans to see if there's been any progression of her disease or any shrinkage of her tumors.
Janet asked that I extend her thanks to all of you and she's including the Freeper prayer brigade in her prayers. We both are! May God bless you all!
