I’ve noticed!
Best wishes to your sister-in-law. How dreadful to have a serious health crisis in a foreign country!
In other news, the elegant but inert Bill was called to come into Burlington Coat Factory for orientation on Friday afternoon. Hopefully this is official hiring and getting a work schedule and getting paid time! It’s created a problem for me, because I’m sending the van away with the Envirothon team on Friday and I’d expected to have the car to meet them when they get back, but we’ll work it out.
Her parents left her and her two surviving siblings quite a sizable sum each, and she and my brother invested her share. Then, when the economy tanked, they lost somewhere in the area of $2M. Up to that point, they had been sending me a little each month to help. That stopped.
But they are still going on cruises and tours, so I guess it can’t be all bad.
I’m afraid I’ll have to postpone my surgery. Probably until the first of the year, as I just learned last night that Hockeybughow wants to come and have Thanksgiving with me.
I also found out I missed his step-son’s birthday today. Couldn’t even remember to get him a card, let alone send him money. (His favorite thing!)
And of course, I don’t want to have to look forward to surgery/recovery over Christmas.
I’m SO afraid I will have to go to Colorado to a funeral...:o([
