What do I know about inserting symbols? If they aren’t there for me to see, I don’t know how to look for them OR insert them! LOL!

On the mac it’s dead easy, click on the special characters icon on the toolbar, select the character and paste, or use the option key and one other key to select a given common one.
Even simpler in windoze, just remember the 4 digit unicode for the character and enter it along with the 2 (or was it 3?) character sequence needed to tell the system it’s unicode...
