By which interlude I introduce the concept that it must be especially embarrassing to be upbraiding someone for a supposed grammatical gaffe, and to make a grammatical error in that criticism.
I think you meant to say, "... is English your second language?"
By the way, I found nothing wrong with the original message. It was rather casual in expression, but succinct and evocative.

I’m having a difficult time. Wasn’t the grammar, really. I think the comm problem might have been at my end. And Mrs. Liberty was very good to point out my typsos to me, conveniently after I hit “Post.” :^\
