One computer will go to the shop when the boys get home from school. The other isn’t broken, just in a snit.
Asuncion came over and we practiced some songs. Now it is time for lunch.
Link to biker thread?
Hey, good poem!
Good morning! I had a Stellar Jay in my chipmunk/bird feeder just a few minutes ago. They have a real cool paint job. Black head and a beautiful blue body.
I may post a photo later today here.

FYI: There were quite a few Bikers who went to other rallies and rode around DC. The traffic cams were all down, whether because of so many hits, or because it was a deliberate blackout.
Little by little, the ride will come out in all it’s glory, and next year, it promises to be even bigger. And the Muslims reserved the mall to prevent any other demonstrators from using it. They had no intention of filling it up themselves.
It was seen by lots of people around the world, so it won’t be hushed up forever. Bet on it.

If nothing else, click on the video links and check out the pics. It was such an awesome day!
You got 666! I need to read a book to Frank.
Ah. Just what I wanted...something to eat that will coat my tongue!
Umm...
Well, you didn’t grab 666 so what else could I do? ;o]
We worked all Summer getting everything ready and the staff managed to break pretty much everything their first week back.
And people wonder why our education system sucks...
I don’t wonder why.
Great job on the bike rally thread, ‘Face.
I was wondering about that. I know you have been very busy trying to get everything done for the school year, but I think the teachers/staff think you can perform miracles, and none of them have any idea of the complexity of the work you do.
In case you’re wondering, those of us here appreciate you and all you do!
*hug*
It was a fun time, and VERY gratifying, and I was thrilled to be a part of it! I had been watching the 2MBikerstoDC postings on facebook since its inception, and I thought it was such a good idea, I shared it several times.
And then I went begging. The rest is history! I was reading some of the posts this morning and the site moderator asked where the posters/likers were from: All around the world! And an AWFUL LOT in Afghanistan, which explains the two GIs on dirt bikes with the flags in the background. (Made my screen blurry just to type that!)
As soon as I can afford it, I will get a shirt and a patch. Maybe even a bumper sticker, though I can’t put it on a bumper... I just want to support them and let them know it.
Now, the estimates are over 1,000,000 Patriot Riders attended! And next year, it would seem that pickup trucks will also be in the mix! It will GROW!
I’ve been following the Riders on facebook, and one broke down on his way home. He was in MD, and someone on facebook said he had a trailer and would go get the guy and his bike, and “I don’t need money, thanks.”
(The screen in blurry again...)
Second big LOL of the day! Thanks!
Get a box of tissues...you will need it...and please, pass this on!

VERY cool! In addition to their stunning good looks, Stellar’s Jays (and Scrub Jays, too) are birds of great personality, and they will befriend you to the point of eating right from your hand.
My grandfather used to go out on his back porch at the same time, every evening, and just sit, and relax. He would take peanuts with him, and shell them, and eat them as he sat thinking. A jay that lived nearby naturally took interest in his peanuts, and he tossed a few to it. Over a period of days the bird was coaxed closer, and closer to him, until it was, at last, taking the peanuts right from his fingers.
That was in Orange, CA, and the birds don’t migrate away from that area, so he had that jay around for a couple of years. It even got to where the bird’s mate would come over to him, too. So, every evening he’d be out back with his peanuts and his jaybirds. It was just the coolest thing.
