San Antonio is supplied by one. I studied it in some detail in Geology class at Trinity. New Braunfels, where GeronL lives, about 40 miles north of San Antonio, gets its water from the Canyon Lake Reservoir.

New Braunfels is only allowing lawn-watering once every 2 weeks right now.

We never water our lawn. If it dries up, we don’t have to get Epic Fail Lawn Service out of bed to mow.

We could borrow a riding mower or just use the push mower we brought. for the backyard, cuz there is very little to cut in the front yard.
The black, sticky mud is horrendous
We had nice brown mud back where we came from, something fun to play in. heh

OldTax-lady just phoned, said they’re in Charlotte. They got on the plane out of Philly at the last minute and she didn’t call. DP has gone to get the girls. Mom insists she’ll stay at the airport if she can’t list on the dead-ender to Orlando, but I hope he can talk her out of it. She’s 75 years old, and her cat-sitter could handle another few hours!

I get the mental image of the catz holding the cat sitter for ransom.
It’s only the one cat, and she’s not nearly as aggressive as mine. She would be okay until noon tomorrow or so.

Jake and crew do get possessive of lap spots I hear.

Mom’s kitty isn’t very close. She likes to set on another chair next to you as you read or FReep. She did like to nap with me when I was there, “You may pat my head, and then we will sleep for one hour.”

I had a cat that acted like that.
But if you sat down, your lap was fair game free space.
You were gonna get “sat” and that was that.
